Saving Money Tips

With the economic situation the way it is, saving money is probably on everyone’s mind. I know it’s on mine. I have to spend wisely and use the resources that I have. A lot of this has to do with organization. When people go shopping for groceries, especially, there are certain things they should follow. Here some tips I've used to save money:

  • Do not go grocery shopping if you’re hungry or upset. One for one you will buy things you will regret later.

  • Always have a list. Stick to the list. If you see something and you buy on an impulse more than not you will regret it.

  • Check out the stores and their specials before you go, so you can make your list intelligently. You can do this online or by looking over a newspaper.

  • There is absolutely no shame in using coupons.

  • The key to not buying unnecessary items is to know exactly what you’re going to buy and buy it. Do not linger around, you will more than likely buy something that you don’t want.

  • Be willing to shop at more than one store.

  • Always try to make your menus fit what is on sale and not the other way around. This alone could save you hundreds of dollars every month.

Shopping for groceries especially can be quite a task and you could end up spending much more than you need. I ran across this website that is advertising an ebook on power shopping. You can save 40-60% on groceries by following the advice in this book. The book is only $7 and might be worthwhile for you to read as you could save hundreds of dollars. Or as the adage goes, “You gotta eat.” Click here.

Gasoline prices are outrageous and you have no choice but have to pay for them. Wouldn't it be great if you could lower your costs every month. Just think of having that money back in your pocket. If you're interested in getting more mileage and paying less then I suggest you visit this website I just ran into called Drive Car with Water. It sounds interesting at least and I would give it a try. Click here.

Another thing which I find annoying is the price of cable TV. I have two boys that have to watch their sports. I end up paying over a $150 a month. I could sure use that money for something else. But there may be a solution. You can get 9000 TV channels for a one time fee. No more paying every month! For $39.95, it's certainly worth a try. Click here.

These are a few of the ways I can see you can actually save a buck. I hope this helps. If you have any other ideas please leave a comment. There’s a lot of great ideas out there. We have to stick together!!
